About Us

The Johns Hopkins Film Festival is a non profit organization that seeks to promote works by budding independent and student filmmakers. Documentaries, features, and short films that have been hitting the festival circuits as well as little seen local, national, and international films will be displayed.

Screenings are held in venues on the Homewood campus of the Johns Hopkins University, including Shriver Hall, the largest screening facility and the largest screen in Maryland. Display formats are 35mm, 16mm, HDCAM, DigiBeta, BetacamSP, DVD, and VHS.

This annual event is organized by the Johns Hopkins Film Society, a student run group also responsible for the campus film journal Frame of Reference.
